History
Clos Saint-Paul is a premier cru *climat* in Givry, the Côte Chalonnaise's principal red-wine commune. Givry's connection to the French court — Henry IV is said to have favored its wines — gave the village an early prestige that other Chalonnaise communes never quite matched.
Style & Terroir
Pinot Noir, red only. Givry premier crus share a profile lighter in body than Côte de Nuits counterparts — brighter red fruit, more immediate accessibility, with a freshness that reflects the Chalonnaise's slightly cooler conditions.
