クロ・サン・ポール
コート・シャロネーズ地区のジヴリに位置するクロ・サン・ポールは、一級畑（プルミエ・クリュ）に格付けされている。この畑はドメーヌ・ヴァンサン・ランプが単独所有（モノポール）しており、同ドメーヌを象徴するキュヴェが造られる場所として知られる。栽培面積は1.71ヘクタールで、標高は約260メートルから280メートルの間に位置している。土壌は石灰岩が豊富に含まれる粘土石灰質で構成されており、ピノ・ノワールの栽培に適した環境が整っている。ジヴリのなかでも優れた区画の一つとして認識されており、所有者による一貫した管理のもとで、テロワールの特性を反映したワイン生産が行われている。
Clos Saint-Paul is a premier cru *climat* in Givry, the Côte Chalonnaise's principal red-wine commune. Givry's connection to the French court — Henry IV is said to have favored its wines — gave the village an early prestige that other Chalonnaise communes never quite matched.
Pinot Noir, red only. Givry premier crus share a profile lighter in body than Côte de Nuits counterparts — brighter red fruit, more immediate accessibility, with a freshness that reflects the Chalonnaise's slightly cooler conditions.
