History
Domaine Michel Gaunoux is based in Aloxe-Corton — on the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune, where the Corton hill is shared among Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Ladoix-Serrigny. The estate's holdings, however, sit primarily in Pommard, making it a Pommard specialist with a foothold on the Corton hill.
Winemaking Approach
Six parcels across two communes: one Grand Cru on Corton and five Premier Crus clustered in Pommard. The concentration in Pommard's premier cru belt — Grands Épenots and Rugiens Bas in particular — gives the domaine a coherent identity around the structured, age-worthy style of that village.
