コート・ド・ボーヌの銘醸地サントーバン村に拠点を置くドメーヌ・フォルヌロは、小規模ながらもその土地の個性を実直に表現する造り手である。所有する畑は村内の一箇所のみに限定されており、その唯一の保有区画がサントーバンを代表する一級畑「レ・ミュルジェ・デ・ダン・ド・シアン」である。総面積わずか0.8ヘクタールというこの貴重な区画は、特級畑モンラッシェの斜面上方に位置する非常に優れたテロワールとして知られている。同ドメーヌは、グラン・クリュを所有せず、この一級畑のポテンシャルを最大限に引き出すことに注力している。単一の畑から生まれるワインは、サントーバンの本質を映し出す存在であり、限られた生産量の中にこの村特有の緻密な個性が凝縮されている。
