Domaine Anne Gros is a Chambolle-Musigny estate with a compact but striking portfolio: three parcels, two of them grand cru. Anne Gros is a member of the extended Gros family of Vosne-Romanée, one of Burgundy's most influential winemaking dynasties. The family branched into several independent domains over successive generations, and Anne's branch eventually settled its core operations in Chambolle while retaining grand cru land in Vougeot and Vosne.
Winemaking Approach
Three parcels across three communes make for a small but varied cellar. The Clos de Vougeot and Richebourg are, naturally, the marquee bottles — but the premier cru La Combe d'Orveau in Chambolle-Musigny draws its own following for the village's characteristic transparency and perfume.
