La Perrière is a premier cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Côte de Nuits commune that holds more grand cru land than any other in Burgundy — nine in total, from Chambertin to Griotte. Premier cru sites like La Perrière occupy the slopes below and alongside those grands crus, sharing the same broad canvas of Jurassic limestone and iron-rich soils. The name *perrière* recurs across Burgundy and nearly always signals stony ground: *pierre* (stone) is the etymology.
Pinot Noir, red only. Registered holdings total approximately 2.09 ha across seven producers. The parcel sits within Gevrey's extensive premier cru mosaic — the commune has twenty-six such *climats*, more than any other village on the Côte. Premier cru rules apply: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields kept to roughly 45–48 hl/ha.
