コート・ド・ボーヌの南端に位置するシャサーニュ・モンラッシェ村において、このプルミエ・クリュは村の名を冠した象徴的な存在である。面積は7.12ヘクタールで、ドメーヌ・ラモネが主要な所有者として知られる。村全体の傾向として、かつては赤ワインの生産が主流であったが、現在は白ワインの比率が8割を超えている。土壌の多くは本来ピノ・ノワールに適しているが、市場価格の高さからシャルドネへの植え替えが進んだ背景を持つ。この畑の白ワインは、隣接するピュリニーのような華やかな芳香とは異なり、優れた果実の密度と確かなミネラル感を備えるのが特徴である。赤ワインの場合は、構造の強さとタンニンによる素朴な力強さが現れやすい。
Chassagne is a premier cru *climat* in Chassagne-Montrachet, a Côte de Beaune village that sits alongside Puligny-Montrachet as one of Burgundy's principal white-wine communes. The village also maintains a notable red-wine tradition, and its premier cru parcels span both colours across the hillside.
Chardonnay only, white wine. Standard premier cru parameters apply: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, potential alcohol around 11.0–11.5%, and yields in the 45–48 hl/ha range.
