Denis Race is a Chablis estate whose single holding — a (5.00 ha) plot in Montmains — places it firmly within the premier cru tier of Burgundy's northernmost wine village. Chablis draws its character from Kimmeridgean limestone soils, which give Chardonnay here its signature steel and salinity. The estate's founding details are not widely documented.
