History
Domaine Chofflet is a Côte Chalonnaise estate based in Dracy-le-Fort, a hamlet in the Givry appellation. Givry is one of the Chalonnaise's most characterful communes — historically associated with Henry IV's supposed preference for its red wines, and today producing some of the region's most structured and ageworthy Pinot Noirs. Founding history and family lineage are not extensively documented in public sources.
Winemaking Approach
The domaine works (3) Premier Cru parcels across (3) communes: Givry, Russilly (a Givry satellite), and Dracy-le-Fort. The flagship holding is En Choué in Givry proper — at (4.00 ha) an unusually substantial parcel for a domaine of this scale. Les Galaffres (1.50 ha) in Russilly and the Clos Jus (1.00 ha) in Dracy-le-Fort round out a portfolio grounded entirely in the Givry zone. Cellar details are not publicly documented.
