Domaine de Chantemerle
Profile

History
Domaine de Chantemerle is based in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, a small village on the left bank of the Serein River in the northern Chablis zone. The village sits directly within two notable premier cru territories — Fourchaume and L'Homme Mort — and that geography shapes the domaine entirely. Detailed founding records are not publicly available.
Winemaking Approach
The estate works two parcels, both premier cru, concentrated around the home village. That focused profile is a strength: Chantemerle's energies are not dispersed across multiple communes but invested in the mineral, chalk-driven character that La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne's soils reliably produce.
