Les Croix Noires is a premier cru climat in Pommard, a commune whose name has long been shorthand for structured, age-worthy Pinot Noir on the Côte de Beaune. The site sits within Pommard's grid of classified vineyards — twenty-eight premier crus in total — where slight changes in slope and soil consistently separate one climat's character from its neighbor's.
Les Croix Noires covers approximately 0.95 ha and produces Pinot Noir. Four producers hold parcels here, split across three family-related estates in the Boillot lineage and Domaine de Courcel. Standard premier cru regulations apply: 9,000 vines/ha minimum, yield ceiling around 45–48 hl/ha.
