La Petite Berge is a premier cru vineyard in Givry, the Côte Chalonnaise commune whose red wines reputedly found favour at the French royal court. Whether that tradition is solid history or local lore, Givry's Pinot Noirs — lighter in frame than those of the Côte de Nuits — have always attracted an audience happy to drink them young.
Pinot Noir, red only. Premier cru regulations apply: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields capped at roughly 45–48 hl/ha.
