Clos St-Jacques is a premier cru in the Chagny commune of the Côte Chalonnaise. The Côte Chalonnaise sits directly south of the Côte d'Or and produces both reds and whites across a handful of appellations; Rully, the closest village to the Côte d'Or boundary, carries a reputation for structured reds and mineral whites. Clos St-Jacques is a named *climat* within that system.
