History
Maurice Charleux is a small estate in Maranges, working parcels across two communes — Cheilly and Sampigny — within this southernmost appellation of the Côte de Beaune. The founding history is not well documented, but the domaine follows the Burgundian village tradition of parcel-focused, domaine-bottled wine.
Winemaking Approach
The estate works three parcels, all Premier Cru. With holdings across two Maranges communes, each parcel brings its own soil and exposure — a modest but genuine multi-terroir range for an appellation often overlooked by collectors.
