ジュヴレ・シャンベルタンの北側に広がる一級畑「コート・サン＝ジャック」の一角に位置するポワスノは、コンブ・ド・ラヴォー（ラヴォーの谷）から吹き抜ける冷涼な風の影響を強く受ける場所にあります。1930年頃の格付けの際、近隣のエヴォセルとともに独立したアペラシオンを求める動きもありましたが、現在はプルミエ・クリュとして認められています。この畑の主要な所有者には、ドメーヌ・アンベール・フレールやドメーヌ・ジェアンテ・パンショが名を連ねています。近接するラヴォー・サン＝ジャックなどと同様に、標高の高さと谷間の冷気がワインに独特の個性を与えており、ジュヴレ・シャンベルタンらしい骨格と、冷涼な微気候由来の性質を併せ持つクリュです。
Poissenot is a premier cru *climat* in Gevrey-Chambertin, occupying the mid-slope north of the village where the *appellation* transitions toward Brochon. The name has no universally agreed etymology — local records suggest it may derive from a personal name or a term for a specific soil type — placing it among the many Gevrey *lieux-dits* whose meanings have dissolved over centuries of use.
