En l'Ormeau is a premier cru *climat* in Volnay, a Côte de Beaune village whose Pinot Noirs are among the most delicate and perfumed in all of Burgundy. The commune sits high on the slope above Meursault, and its thin, stony soils consistently produce reds of notable finesse.
