History

Le Meix Cadot is a premier cru in Rully, the northernmost appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise. Rully built its modern identity around Chardonnay and Crémant de Bourgogne, and its premier crus — there are twenty-three in total — run along the mid-slope east of the village. The *meix* in the name reflects an old Burgundian term for a small enclosed plot, often attached to a house or farm building.

Style & Terroir

Chardonnay, white only. Registered holdings total approximately 1.71 ha, making it a modestly sized but well-documented climat. Premier cru norms apply: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields around 45–48 hl/ha, and potential alcohol starting near 11.0–11.5%.
