クロ・ド・ラ・カーヴ・デ・デュック
ヴォルネイの村落内に位置する、面積0.64ヘクタールの独占畑である。かつて1431年に破壊された公爵宮殿のワイン貯蔵庫がこの地にあったと伝えられており、名称もそれに由来する。共有畑であるラ・カーヴの直下に隣接し、ほぼ村の中に組み込まれたような立地が特徴といえる。周囲を囲む民家からの温暖効果が、この区画がプルミエ・クリュの格付けを維持する一因と考えられている。2005年まではドメーヌ・カレ＝クールバンが手がけていたが、現在はベンジャミン・ルルーが栽培と醸造を担う。ワインは通常、親しみやすく魅力的な性格を備えているが、ヴォルネイの最上区画が持つような格別な力強さや品格には及ばない傾向にある。
Clos de la Cave des Ducs is a premier cru in Volnay, Côte de Beaune. The name recalls the Dukes of Burgundy, whose domain once extended across much of this hillside.
