Domaine du Clos Salomon (du Gardin family)
Profile

1History
Domaine du Clos Salomon is a Givry estate held by the du Gardin family. Givry anchors the red-wine identity of the Côte Chalonnaise and carries a long courtly reputation — Henri IV of France is said to have favoured its wines. The du Gardin family's stewardship of the Clos Salomon monopole represents one of the more enduring private holdings in the region.
Winemaking Approach
A small estate with limited public information. The single Premier Cru parcel — Clos Salomon — is the domaine's entire focus.
