Profile

History

Romuald Valot is a small estate based in Montagny-lès-Buxy, at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is a white-wine-only commune planted exclusively to Chardonnay — the only AOC in the Chalonnaise where no red appellation exists alongside the white.

Winemaking Approach

A small estate with little public information. The single parcel, Les Resses, is a Premier Cru, placing the estate at the upper tier of the Montagny hierarchy.
