History

Raoul Gautherin is a small estate in Chablis, the northernmost wine village of Burgundy. Chablis draws its character from Kimmeridgean limestone — fossilized ancient seafloor — which gives the Chardonnay grown here its signature sharp minerality and lean structure.

Winemaking Approach

A small estate with little public information. Two premier cru parcels — Les Épinottes and Mélinots — both sit on the left bank of the Serein river, the warmer, south-facing side of the appellation.
